Trieste Maritime Terminal – MSC Group, has ordered N.2 STS crane with 24 rows from Liebherr Container Cranes with a lifting height of up to 50m. and a capacity in Twin Lift mode of 65 tons.
Thanks to the technical advantages of Liebherr, soon, T.M.T. will be able to have two cranes capable of significantly increasing the performance of its terminal in total safety.
The new cranes will enter service in April 2025.

The largest model of ERTG rubber tire electric gantry cranes produced by Liebherr officially enters into operation in the Italian ports of Salerno Container Terminal (SCT) and at the Consorzio Napoletano Terminal Containers, Naples (Conateco), a company of the MSC group.
This is a crane from the RTG series with a hybrid engine running on both diesel and electricity via a cable reel, guaranteeing low environmental impact operations and significant energy savings thanks to an on-board energy regeneration system.

The new Liebherr RTG‘s have a storage capacity of 7+1 rows in width (over 26m.) and 5+1 rows in height (about 18m.). The machines will be supplied complete with Electric motors.
The new RTG’s will be delivered to Naples by November 2023.

A few days ago another Liebherr harbor crane entered in service at the Varna port. After the purchase of the LHM 150 which took place a year ago, the ODESOS Multipurpose Terminal confirmed its trust in the LIEBHERR brand by purchasing a LHM 280 E Drive port crane with a maximum capacity of 84 tons with a maximum outreach of 40 m., the crane is equipped with electric engines.
Mac Port Balkan will follow all the service and spare parts supply activities on site.
Salerno Container Terminal SCT confirms its strategic partnership with the LIEBHERR Group
The order of 1 RTG LIEBHERR model 10/6/4, which follows the recent delivery of the LHM 600HR mobile crane, is aimed at upgrading the yard equipment. The new RTG is the largest available on the market, having a storage capacity of 10+1 rows in width (over 34m.) and 6+1 rows in height (about 25m.). The vehicle will be supplied complete with system DGPS and Electric motorization. The new RTG will be delivered to Salerno by November 2023.

The leading steel manufacturer in Italy, Acciaierie d’Italia recently signed a contract with Liebherr about four new LPS 800 portal cranes for handling raw materials for steel production. The LPS 800 is the strongest and largest portal crane in the Liebherr portfolio. The four units operate 100% on electric power and thus enable emission-free bulk handling. They also have the Liebherr hybrid system Pactronic installed, which gives the crane additional power when needed.

The crane is the LHM 150 model and has a maximum capacity of 36 tons with an outreach of 32 meters. It is a very versatile crane and particularly suitable for Terminal operations, which consists in the handling all kind of the goods.
The completely overhauled crane was delivered at the Varna Terminal and a two week technical and operational training was performed after delivery.
